“Play is really the work of childhood.” Mr. Rogers

Ready to Play

Is your child ready to play sports, attend a summer camp, or join a structured play group? A physical exam is often required to assess and address any underlying conditions so your child can safely enjoy strenuous play activities.

In addition to physical exams that may be required, a child should receive periodic routine exams just like anyone else. Call Prince George’s Health Practice and together, let’s make sure your child is ready for “the work of childhood.”

Ready to Learn

The American Academy of Pediatrician suggests annual physical exams for children over 3 to assess growth and development, to discuss any concerns about sleeping, eating, or socializing, and to ensure vaccinations are current.

According to many highly regarded studies, factors that can affect a child’s health also affect their readiness to perform well in school and are best identified early. Nutrition, body weight, sleep, exercise, and attention to persistent medical issues all play a role in how well a child learns. Some solutions are simple. Research has shown that even a moderate increase in a child’s daily physical activity can help improve academic performance. Why not make an appointment with Prince George’s Health Practice and together, help your child can learn better… with better health!
